Thornbury Care Centre delivers day care and has a seperate specialist dementia care unit. Residents can use their own GP if required and furnish their rooms with personal accessories and furnishings to create a homely feel. Residents have access to a communal kitchenette and gardens and each room has a telephone and television point.
Thornbury Care Centre is a 10-minute drive from Sycamore Care Centre and nestled in the community of Thorney Close. There is a local church, post office and corner shops nearby as well as a public park opposite and excellent access to public transport.
Although not situated on private grounds, Thornbury Care Centre has its own private, peaceful and secluded garden open to all residents and the home benefits from being in a highly-central location that gives it great access to local shops and public transport including bus routes to and from Sunderland city centre.
