At the heart of Sycamore Care Centre is The Lodge, a fine example of Victorian architecture which dates back to 1891. The Lodge provides 41 beds for residential care and includes a safe dementia care unit. Clients using our service can enjoy a real home-from-home environment which is of the highest standard.

Dementia Care

Our dementia care unit within The Lodge has a dedicated team of carers and nurses who provide 24-hour care and support for those with dementia. We provide specialist activities for people with dementia which may include one to one interaction, trips out to local places of interest, interactive games, armchair exercises in house entertainment and sensory experiences which are very therapeutic. We also ensure that everyone has access to outdoor space which we positively promote in our beautiful grounds.
