Service users wishes are at the forefront of our activities programme, making sure there is always something for everyone!

Many therapeutic activities on offer in our homes aim to bring individual service users to their maximum level of ability, independence and social confidence, making their days more enjoyable. Staff recognize that service users have very different therapeutic, recreational, social and leisure needs, religious beliefs and activities are developed around each individual’s preferences.

We take great care to keep close contact with relatives in order to understand the individual’s life story, helping us to provide the most appropriate and meaningful support for their loved one. These relationships are strengthened by day to day contact, verbal, visual, touch and through reminiscence, making the information received invaluable in refining a plan of care relevant to the individual.

The aim of our dementia care is to maintain a person’s uniqueness throughout the challenges they face.

Sycamore Care Centre has a Minibus where our service users enjoy trips out weekly with staff and activity Co-ordinators. Families are welcome to join their loved ones with all activities.
